Birding in the ACE Basin can be done throughout the year.  Migratory waterfowl tend to draw birders and photographers to the area on their aviary quest.

 

ACE Basin Bird Check List

This checklist includes all avian species which regularly occur in the 350,000 acres that constitute the ACE Basin, the lower drainage of the Ashepoo, Combahee, and Edisto Rivers. Species considered extremely rare, accidental, or for which there exists no known records have been omitted. Relative status and seasonality may vary from year to year for some species.
